Naxos 8.550574

This was the Camerata's third CD, but the first to be recorded in Hertford College, Oxford (the previous two had been recorded in New College and Dorchester Abbey respectively). It was also the first Camerata CD to feature countertenor Robin Blaze. This recording of Byrd's motet Infelix ego can be compared to Lassus's setting of the same remarkable text on Naxos 8.550842 (where the text and its translation are included).
This CD was Tess Knighton's budget recommendation on BBC Radio 3's 'Building a Library' of Byrd's Masses on CD Review on 6 December 2003.
