This was the Camerata's second CD (although some reviewers
mistakenly hailed it as the first) and the only one to be recorded in the
beautiful surroundings of Dorchester Abbey. However, the sessions themselves
proved to be somewhat traumatic. In the event, the noise of the cement-mixer
situated just outside the monitoring room proved to be less problematic than the
monitors themselves: the producer and engineer contrived to damage their car on
the way to Dorchester and thereby missed the first
recording session. Consequently the recording was made in three sessions rather
than the planned four.
