This was the Camerata's very first commercial recording. Both Naxos and the
Camerata were pleasantly surprised at how well the CD was received from the
outset. It is one of only two Camerata discs recorded in the Chapel of New
College, Oxford (the other is Naxos
8.550575). It is also interesting to note that (apart from Jeremy Summerly
himself) this recording does include one of the other founder-members of the
Camerata - David Hurley. David now has an international
reputation as the unique highest
voice in the King's Singers.
